A guise for observing and dreaming with the forest by Katie Harris-MacLeod

A quiet invitation to dream with the forest. Katie Harris McLeod will create a wearable “guise” from organic materials gathered in the Noosa Biosphere. Draped in these forest skins, she steps softly into the forest’s dreamy realms, seeking to dissolve the threshold between self, landscape, and the more-than-human. This guise is for observing the forest, yet remaining invisible, listen without disrupting, to be present without presence. In this guise, she is no longer human visitor, intruder nor observer. Now, she is forest. A performance will take place on the first and last day. Then, the guise will be left to slowly decay in the forest. A silent film poem and photographs will be made as documentation.
